Wake
Dawn- Just wanted to thank you for your assistance and let you know that I was very happy with the way everything was handled for my brothers wake. I had many comments from family about how nice the get together was and how good the food was (especially the beef), so I sincerely appreciate the HMGC efforts on my behalf. Looking forward to another nice event on April 1.
Special Event
Josh- I just had to write a quick thank you to you and your staff for a lovely event. I must say how accomodating everyone was, from Candi's help and Mark's great food and the young girls that helped serve and worked hard to find everything we needed! You have assembled quite a team. Thanks for making me look good for choosing your facility! As Arnold says, "I'll be back"!
New Neighbors
Candi- You did an awesome job for the New Neighbors League of Toledo. You really helped me put together a nice luncheon and took lots of the worry away. We'll definitely be back.
Wedding
We thank you for making our children's wedding night a success! The staff was absolutely wonderful! They were very helpful and discrete. I had many compliments on the chef and the food. Wonderful! You need to know your chef stepped up and contacted the grooms mother for her sides final count and I appreciated that action very much! (not I or the wedding planner could get her to call but your chef did) He relieved a lot of stress by doing that. Thank you!
Jones Wedding
Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect, and we can’t thank your staff enough for that. To be completely honest, when we first started our wedding planning, my dad had suggested we have it in Sylvania at the Church and use the club for the reception… I was skeptical because I wanted a beach wedding! It was not until I went to the club to have a look around and meet with Aaron that I was certain that this was the right thing to do. Aaron was very easy to work with and seemed genuinely interested in helping us plan a non-traditional reception. Now that it is over and we reflect back upon our day, I am almost brought to tears because not only was it everything that I had hoped for, but it was more!
Your servers and bartenders were very professional, kind, and attentive! It was very nice that our guests could go up to the bar if they desired, but I think many times the servers beat them to it! I do not recall a single face of your staff that was not smiling, and that really affected the mood of the evening in a positive way. The food was excellent, and your chef came to our table a couple times in the evening to make sure everything was okay… it was nice to meet him and tell him how delicious everything was. All of our guests piled their plates high and told us that the food was fantastic! So was my baked potato… I think it was the best I have ever had!
Last, but certainly not least, Allen was simply fantastic. His level of customer service never failed to amaze me, and he really made us feel like he cared about making our wedding as memorable as possible. Not only did he offer us plenty of suggestions, and gave us his honest opinion when we asked, but he went above and beyond to make sure that everything literally was perfect. Anything my mom and I asked Aaron took care of in a timely fashion. (And my mom and I always seem to have more questions than kindergartners!) :)
My mom and I went to the club the morning of the wedding to see if we could help (which Aaron protested to, saying he would take care of everything!) and to our horror, the lady Aaron was working with on linens sent us bronze-ish/orange tablecloths! Orange!? I wanted brown! I remember thinking: "ohmygosh… our pictures are going to look so bad!" But I thought there was nothing we could do about it at that point, so my mom and I made the best of the situation and moved on. Come to find out, Aaron must have turned the town upside down looking for brown table linens, because when we came back that evening, the most perfect brown tablecloths were on the tables… the room looked so classy all I could do was stare! That was most definitely not something Aaron had to do… nor had we asked! The fact that he did, however, really impressed me, and I am eternally grateful.
When the bridal party arrived at the club for photos, Aaron was ready for us with a line of golf carts waiting! He took the time to take us to a beautiful spot on the course for photos, offered many suggestions for priceless photos, and patiently waited until we were finished. What a sight we were! He even allowed my sister and a bridesmaid to decorate my and Allen’s cart! Allen, I, and our bridal party had so much fun riding around on the course (and putting on the green!) and it is a memory that none of us will ever forget. I wanted our wedding to be fun, rather than "traditional" and what I consider "boring" and "stuffy," and thanks to Aaron, it was none of those things!
Other little things that Aaron surprised us with was a baked potato for me at dinner (my parents picked out the dinner, and all I suggested for dinner was to have baked potatos… which they immediatley vetoed! So the baked potato became our wedding planning joke, and whenever I didn’t get my way we would joke that it all started with the baked potato!)… he put together a fabulous basket, which he presented to Allen and I before we left for the evening, of delicious wine, cheese, crackers, fruit, and champagne… he closed the club down so our guests could not only enjoy spending time not only at their table, but also at the bar. (That was something I had really wanted but was unsure if it could happen; I think your bar is really classy!) I also heard that the bartenders put on a cartoon movie of some sort on the big screen tv for the little kids to watch during dinner. How thoughtful!
The best part of the night was after Allen and I sat down for dinner and he looked at me and said: "This is absolutley perfect." I was never more proud of all of our planning efforts until that moment… between myself, my parents, Aaron, and everyone from your staff involved. Allen is going through flight school at the present and has been very disconnected from our wedding planning because school consumes all of his time. Knowing that he thought so highly of the reception made me feel really good about everyone’s hard work. Please know how much we appreciate everything that your entire staff, and especially Aaron, has done for us. You made our wedding the most memorable night of our lives, and it is something that we will always hold close to our hearts.
You should be very proud of your staff. They are wonderful! Thank you so much.
